Kilometres from anywhere, Kathy Evans finds in a teepee camping puts a bold and derring-do to the routine.

My memories of camping is not good. Random pictures including washing the plastic in a bowl of lukewarm water, oily dragged from the nearest faucet half kilometers away and a bossy issued Owl Brown dire warnings about touching the side of the tent if it rains, that it was in the United Kingdom North-a lot.

So it is with enthusiasm that I embrace the idea of the life of wet Teepee Resort River Wakiti near Echuca, although a web site that our guarantee this is bivouac “without the hassle of”.

But the picture in a teepee outlined against the setting sun is one of tranquillity that is mixed with a little adventure, so we load the car with sleeping bags, comforters and wrap food dehydration and head north.
