Colorado: winter hiking in the mountains Collegiate

Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area consisting of 168,000 acres Sawatch Range, including nine from 14,000 ft peaks in Colorado. Fifty miles south of Copper Mountain, Missouri Gulch trail up South of the trailhead parking area of the West clear Creek Reservoir. In winter, parking in one of the few turn-out along the way it might be wise because for a steep, ice-covered before the trailhead parking lot value.

From Missouri Gulch Trailhead, at the foot of 9,540, clear Creek and the road crosses the South rose in a series of switchbacks on the side of the Missouri Gulch Creek. Along the way, a few tenths of a mile from the trailhead, the solitary grave of baby early mining is located beside the road.
