Arizona forest motor release travel proposals

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP)-the forest plan will reduce the acreage of the Arizona Center for the visitors can walk around as they please but open to motorized travel areas that were previously closed.

Forest officials released the proposal this month to limit motorized travel to approximately 1,400 hectares in the district Ranger Mesa where off-road use are widespread. Travel from forest road is now allowed on 700,000 hectares in the second District ranger in the nearly 3 million hectares of forest.

The plan, which includes four alternatives, the recognition of the increasing demand for outdoor recreation and work to reduce conflicts among users, forest Planner Genevieve Johnson said.
